    Policies & Undertaking


    Inclusion Policy: Fairmount Academy believes that all students are entitled equally to opportunities provided by the school. The school team is involved in early identification and informal assessment of learning/ behavioural difficulties. If after informal assessment a recommendation is made to undertake a formal assessment or provide for additional support to your child, the requirements should be fulfilled within a period of one month. Incase of significant disabilities requiring one-to-one support, parents are required to provide and fund a qualified shadow teacher. If this essential support is not arranged, the school may, with regret, reserve the right to issue a Leaving Certificate in the best interest of the child as it would be restricted from educating the child as needed. *

    Field Trip Policy: The School Field trips are connected with the curriculum and essential for student’s experiential learning. All field trips are assessed through projects. Field trips are carefully planned, reviewed and monitored by our staff to ensure the safety of the children. The school shall take the best possible care for individual children in our care during the field trips. However the school will not take the student on field trips unless the Field Trip NOC has been duly signed and returned by the due date. Children with special needs /disabilities / medical concerns, may be restricted by the School from field trips and tours in the interest of the child. In such special needs cases any associated assessment will be altered for the student. All school field trips and tours are at an additional charge specified for the trip or tour. Parents need to pay this within the timelines specified in the relevant School circular. School trips shall not be held during the phase of any epidemic. *

    Transfer and Refund Policy: The tuition, term fee and security deposit paid is partly refunded as per refund process shared with the fee details. Admission and form processing fee is not refundable or transferable.
    For continuing / promoted students, if the full academic year’s fee is paid in advance, then the refund will be calculated as specified under the withdrawal policy. *

    Transport Policy: Travel to and from school by bus is encouraged for convenience and better traffic control for the locality.
    Bus/van services are provided through a private bus contractor. The Parent School Bus Committee are authorized to negotiate and coordinate the service. To minimize travel time of students, they are dropped at nodal points along main roads. Parents need to arrange drop and pick from these nodal points. Nodal points are allotted and may be changed only with direct correspondence with the Bus Committee. The School holds the right to restrict access to transport facilities if there is evidence of non-compliance. Travel by private vehicle for Special Need Students will be considered in exceptional circumstances with valid medical certificates supporting the need. *

    Promotion Policy: Promotion is not driven by grades. However an absent student will not benefit from the school process unless there is engagement in the day to day classroom activities. To be promoted to the next grade it is important that the student attends school for minimum 75% of the working days. *

    School fee increments: The Grade-wise school fee structure has been provided with the Application form. This fee structure will increase every 2 years by 15%. Parents should commit to the required fee for all the future years at the School. The School does not have a fee discounting or further instalments process. *

    Withdrawal from School: In case any parents wishes to withdraw their ward from school, the request for withdrawal needs to be made atleast 3 months in advance. When withdrawing during the academic year, the fee for the active quarter and the subsequent/ following quarter, both need to be paid.
    Should you choose to withdraw your ward from the next academic year, you need to submit the application of withdrawal by 31 December to release the seat for admissions. The fee for Quarter 1 of the next academic will need to be paid in case withdrawal is not declared. The School does not charge for Leaving Certificates, however in compliance with the Secondary School Code of the Education Department, certificates will not be issued if fee remains due to the School. *

    Communication and Digital Policy: The school corresponds with all parents via email. The goal of using social media by the school and teachers or trustees associated is to share important information with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. In the interest of chid safety we do not encourage any parent or school staff to post the pictures or videos of students on social sites. If you choose to post the picture of your ward with other students, kindly ensure you have the permission of the other parents to do so. Parents are expected to monitor the comments that they post on any social networking site and avoid comments that are not constructive in nature.Online schooling for the Hybrid school program requires a set up to be provided at home for the child. The parents must make the arrangements for the required technology to be provided for the student to benefit from the school’s home school program. The school shall not be held responsible for missed curriculum due to the non-availability of technology at home. *

    ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    1. Admissions open only for girls for the Academic Year 2026–2027 for Nursery and Jr Kg

    2. The admission process for academic 2026-2027 is only online.

    3. If you wish to proceed with the admission procedure: Fill out the Application for Admission with the required attachments.

    Kindly ensure that the Application for Admission is complete in all respect, so as to facilitate the admission process.

    Keep the following documents scanned and ready to upload for the application form: (all documents are compulsory)

       ➔ Kindly upload the files in PDF Or Image format only.
       ➔ Parent’s aadhar card
       ➔ Student’s aadhar card and Photograph.
       ➔ Last report card of the previous school.
       ➔ True copy of the birth certificate.
       ➔ School leaving certificate of previous school.
       ➔ Learning Disability certificate (If any)
       ➔ Digital signature of Parent’s.
       ➔ The immunization record of the child.

    4. Admission will be confirmed on receipt of fee for the full academic year.

    5. If no seats are available the child will be placed on a waitlist. You will be notified as soon as a seat is available.

    7. After the school receives your filled application form, the office shall contact you for organizing an interaction with the Principal.

    8. Submission of the application form does not guarantee admission.

    9. The Management reserves the right to make changes in the procedure and process of admission subject to the rules and regulations prevalent at the time of admission.

    10. After your application is approved for admission, you will receive an email from the School office.
       You shall have 3 days to deposit the fee to secure the seat. Fee paid is non-refundable.

    Class Size

    Class sizes will be restricted to 26 students.

    Transportation

    Travel by school bus is encouraged. Under regular conditions (as permitted by the government): school buses will pick up and drop-off students at centralized points along the main road.

    Cafeteria

    Freshly prepared snacks will be available from the school canteen. Menu and the meal charges will be made available on request.
